It is becoming clear to us that Brussels is using all mechanisms, all levers to blackmail Georgian society or to use certain punitive instruments against Georgian society, - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.

As she noted, she hopes that Brussels will not make a decision that will be aimed at punishing the Georgian people.

"They are discussing changes to the visa regime rules with regard to Georgia, they are constantly talking about this issue, when there is no basis to intimidate Georgian society with the issue of suspending visa-free travel. It is becoming clear to us that Brussels is using all mechanisms, all levers to blackmail Georgian society or to use certain punitive instruments against Georgian society. I hope that Brussels will not make such a decision that will be aimed at punishing the Georgian people," - Botchorishvili noted.
