According to the head of the Tbilisi Patrol Police, Goga Memanishvili, one of the participants of the solidarity march was detained for verbally insulting a police officer.

As Memanishvili told “PalitraNews,” the number of participants in the march is not sufficient to justify blocking the road, and therefore they will not be allowed to do so.

“One participant of the rally has been detained - he verbally insulted a police officer. As for the number of march participants, they are not enough to be allowed to march on the road, therefore they remain on the sidewalk. They have no problem moving. Under no circumstances will they be allowed to move onto the roadway,” – stated Goga Memanishvili.

As a reminder, law enforcement officers detained one participant of the solidarity march for Mate Devadze. According to available information, the detainee is TSU lecturer Ketevan Khuskivadze.
