Marika Svanishvili, participant of the solidarity march for Mate Devidze has been sentenced to 4 days of administrative detention

The court has found Marika Svanishvili, one of the participants of the solidarity march for Mate Devidze, guilty of an administrative offense.

Judge Tornike Kochkiani sentenced her to 4 days of administrative detention.

For reference, on November 19 a solidarity march for convicted Mate Devidze was held in Tbilisi. Demonstrators initially gathered near the First Building of Tbilisi State University (TSU) and then marched. Law enforcement officers detained 13 participants of the march on Melikishvili and Kakabadze streets. Five of the detainees are women.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, some of the detainees are charged with disobeying lawful police orders, while others are accused of verbally insulting police officers.
