Police detain one participant of the march near Tbilisi City Assembly

One protester has been detained near the City Assembly.

Police arrested a middle-aged man just a few minutes after the march began.

The detention followed demands from the march participants to be allowed to cross at a pedestrian crossing, a request the police refused.

Citizens are continuing the march at this moment.

A large number of police officers are accompanying the marchers.
