Irakli Pavlenishvili - It is very shameful when in occupied Georgia they are happy to hear something that is against Ukraine and beneficial to Russia

Ukraine, as a country at war, faces serious challenges at specific moments, including now, in winter conditions, under Russian aggression. However, this does not mean that Russia will not be defeated, - said Irakli Pavlenishvili, Deputy Secretary General of the United National Movement.

As he explains, Russia is not achieving its strategic goals.

"It is very shameful when in occupied Georgia they are happy to hear something that is against Ukraine and beneficial to Russia. This is the red line for me. As for the war, the war is difficult, however, Russia is not achieving its strategic goal... As for Ukraine, it is a difficult moment for it now. War with a power that has been recognized as one of the leading military powers in the world for years is, of course, difficult," Pavlenishvili said.

When asked by a journalist whether Russia lost the war with Ukraine, Pavlenishvili replies that Russia will definitely lose this war.

"Russia will certainly be defeated in this war, because it will not achieve its strategic goals. If anyone thinks that Russia will achieve its imperial ambitions and achieve the demilitarization of the army in Ukraine, there will be no more Ukrainian statehood, and if anyone thinks that it will make Ukraine abandon Western integration and sovereign policy, they are very mistaken. This was Russia's strategic goal, because of which Russia will definitely be defeated in this war. As for Ukraine, as a country at war, it has difficult challenges at specific moments, including now, in winter conditions, in conditions of Russian aggression. However, this does not mean that Russia will not be defeated and is not being defeated, because Russia's strategic goals were absolutely different, and not that to make a difficult situation in Ukraine," he said.
