MIA - Law enforcement officers arrest members of the so-called "Baris Boyun" criminal group operating in Turkey on charges of drug trafficking - various types of drugs were seized

The employees of the Adjara Police Department and the State Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two citizens of the Republic of Turkey - S.T., born in 1999, and F.G., born in 2001, on charges of drug trafficking.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees, who were identified by the employees of the State Security Service, are members of the so-called "Barish Boyun" criminal group operating in Turkey.

They are accused of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

"During a search of the defendants' personal and temporary residence, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of various types of narcotic drugs and pills containing psychotropic substances as evidence, including "MDMA", "marijuana", "pregabalin" and "gabapentin". The crime is punishable by up to 8 years in prison.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 261 of the Criminal Code.

Operative and investigative measures are continuing in the case, with the aim of identifying other members of the so-called "Baris Boyun" criminal group operating in Turkey," reads the information.
