State Security Service: One dual citizen of Turkey and Georgia and three Georgian citizens who were preparing fake documentation have been identified

According to the State Security Service of Georgia (SSS), within the framework of the investigation of ongoing criminal cases in the Counterintelligence Department, one dual citizen of Turkey and Georgia and three Georgian citizens have been identified who were preparing fake documentation.

According to the agency, the accused prepared fake documents for sixteen citizens of Turkey in order for them to obtain residence permits in Georgia and submit them to the State Services Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice.

“The investigation determined that individuals connected in various forms with certain companies — an accountant, a translator, and other employees — were using the personal data of company directors and, without their knowledge, were issuing forged employment contracts on their behalf to Turkish citizens, as if these individuals were employed in specific positions within those companies.

All four individuals have been charged under Article 362, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, which provides for a prison sentence of up to three years,” the SSS statement reads.
