The final version of the 2026 budget draft has been submitted to the Parliament of Georgia for review, according to which the total amount of expenditures of the consolidated budget is 36.3 billion GEL. The information was released by the Ministry of Finance.
According to the agency, next year real economic growth is planned at 5.0%, while the medium-term forecast for real economic growth stands at 5.3%.
“The forecast for nominal GDP is set at 114.1 billion GEL. GDP per capita will exceed 11,300 USD.
By 2029, nominal GDP is forecast to increase to 145.5 billion GEL, which will exceed 14,500 USD per capita. Compared to the previous version of the project, the forecast of nominal GDP for 2026 has increased by 3.6 billion GEL, which is due to the revision of the actual nominal GDP data for 2024 by the National Statistics Office and the increase of the real economic growth forecast for 2025 from 6% to 7.2%.
Consolidated budget tax revenues will amount to 27.04 billion GEL, which is 23.7% of GDP. Compared to the previous version of the project, this figure has increased by 240 million GEL.
The budget deficit will be 2.5% of GDP, while government debt will be within 33.4% of GDP,” the statement reads.
