According to the 2026 budget draft, pensions for people over 70 will increase by GEL 45, while for citizens under 70, pensions will increase by GEL 20.
The draft also provides an increase of over GEL 840 million in funding for the Ministry of Health and Social Protection programs, which includes:
Pensions for those aged 70 and over will increase by GEL 45, reaching GEL 495. In high-mountain settlements, pensions for this category will reach nearly GEL 594.
Pensions for people under 70 will increase by GEL 20, reaching GEL 370, while in high-mountain settlements, they will amount to GEL 444.
In addition to pensions, the budget provides for an increase of GEL 45 in social allowances for persons with disabilities under 18 years old, and an increase of GEL 20 for other categories of persons with disabilities.
Overall, funding for social programs exceeds GEL 6.9 billion.
More than GEL 2.2 billion is allocated to finance healthcare programs, including a 10% salary increase for primary healthcare personnel.
GEL 240 million is allocated to ensure housing for internally displaced persons.
