As Badri Managadze notes, they have been resorting to extreme forms of protest for 34 days.

"This is the 34th day of the hunger strike. It is not surprising that yesterday, one of our teammates was taken by ambulance. His condition has worsened. It will take 3-4 days for examinations. We do not know what will happen after that. Gedevan Popkhadze's health is also deteriorating, he is having difficulty...," notes one of the hunger strikers.

For information, Gedevan Popkhadze resorted to extreme forms of protest on October 28 and began his hunger strike. Darejan Tskhvitaria and several other activists have declared a hunger strike along with the opposition leader. Their demand is to "release political prisoners and call for new parliamentary elections."
