Georgia is a participating state of the OSCE, which has a security-related agenda in this organization, and any attempts to use this organization for other purposes are unacceptable, - stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.

As Maka Botchorishvili noted, international organizations should not be used for the political purposes of specific groups.

"Georgia is a participating country of the OSCE, which has an agenda related to security issues in this organization, and any attempts to use this organization for other purposes are, of course, unacceptable, and it is very important to talk about this. That is why I voiced the opinion within the framework of the ministerial that international organizations should not be used for the political purposes of some specific groups. Of course, cooperation within the framework of the OSCE is important to us, regardless of how effective this organization is. The principles on which the organization stands are important to us, and of course, in this context, it is necessary that the issue of Georgia be always on the agenda. Switzerland will take over the chairmanship from January. It is important that the visit of the Swiss Foreign Minister, as the chair country, to Georgia is carried out in a timely manner. We have certainly discussed these issues with the Minister and we expect that the upcoming chairmanship will pay due attention to those issues related to security challenges," Maka Botchorishvili stated.
