Ilia Sulamanidze has won a gold medal at the Judo Grand Slam in Tokyo.

The Georgian athlete defeated a Japanese in the final and brought Georgia its first gold medal at the tournament.

Earlier, Eter Liparteliani and Giorgi Jabniashvili won bronze medals at the Grand Slam.
