The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates expressed surprise at the unhealthy hype that followed the entry and investment of Eagle Hills in Georgia, - Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations, told journalists regarding a committee meeting where the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates was heard.
According to him, the Ambassador noted at the committee meeting that the entry of Eagle Hills into Georgia could be an incentive for other companies from the United Arab Emirates to invest in Georgia.
“According to the ambassador, this is a company that has a very good reputation in the United Arab Emirates. It enjoys the name of a reliable company and is one of the largest companies that has made a great contribution to the development of Dubai. Accordingly, he expressed surprise at the unhealthy hype that followed the company’s entry and investment in Georgia. He also stated that such investments will inevitably lead to other companies’ interest in the Georgian market and, accordingly, this may be an incentive for other companies from the United Arab Emirates to invest in Georgia,” Samkharadze said.
For information, according to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, within the framework of the agreement signed between Eagle Hills, one of the largest development companies in the United Arab Emirates, and the Georgian government, two projects worth an unprecedented amount of more than $6.5 billion will be implemented in Georgia.
“This is the largest foreign investment in the history of Georgia, which will transform the appearance of Tbilisi and Batumi and create globally recognizable complexes in the cities. The projects in Tbilisi and Gonio will contribute to the growth of Georgia’s gross domestic product, attract hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, and create thousands of jobs,” reads the information.
