Aleko Elisashvili - I have never been a member of Lelo and especially not of ALDE, from where should they expel me? - I call on the Dream to distance itself from the chairman of the parliament who violates human rights

I call on the Georgian Dream to distance itself from the ignorant and human rights-violating Chairman of the Parliament, - this is stated in a letter sent from prison by Aleko Elisashvili, one of the leaders of the coalition Lelo - Strong Georgia, which was distributed on social networks.

As Elisashvili writes, he has never been instructed by anyone to choose and express the form of protest.

"It seem Papuashvili has already sentenced me. If you make such statements, you are either ignorant or malicious.

It is understandable that you claim to be the chairman of such a large legislative body, but you do not respect the law or the presumption of innocence.

It seems that he is very scared and has been thinking only about me lately. Don't worry, I am locked up in the most severe prison in Georgia, I can't do anything wrong. He can come and see for himself. I will also show him around here as much as possible and maybe explain human rights better.

I would like to emphasize very clearly that I have never received or fulfilled anyone's instructions to express or choose a form of protest, and I do not intend to do so in the future. I have lived like this my whole life and will continue to do so. They confuse me with themselves.

They know all this very well in the Dream, they are angry about this, they are demanding my expulsion from some unions. I have never been a member of Lelo and especially not ALDE, from where should they expel me?

I call on the Dream to distance itself from the ignorant and human rights-violating chairman of the parliament," reads Elisashvili's letter.
