According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police have arrested one person in Tbilisi on drug-related charges.
The detainee is a Russian citizen who, according to existing information, had been searched for by relatives for two days.
According to the Ministry, during a personal search of the detainee, law enforcement officers seized one package containing the narcotic substance “clephedrone”.
“Officers of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested O.K., a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1994, on charges of illegal purchase and possession of narcotic substances.

The investigation is underway under Article 260 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for up to 6 years,” the statement reads.
For reference, a statement had been circulating on social media claiming that relatives were searching for 31-year-old Oleg Kuprin, who had gone missing in Gldani, Tbilisi.
“Oleg Kuprin, 31 years old. Height – 180 cm, Russian hair (light brown), blue eyes. Slim build. Last made contact on December 7 at 16:00. He said he would be home all day but did not return. He was wearing a black coat, a turtleneck sweater, gray jeans, and platform Converse sneakers. He did not return home (Gldani district) at night. No one saw him leave the apartment. Neither friends nor acquaintances have seen him. His passport was left in the apartment. A report has already been filed with the police,” the social media post stated.
