Zurab Japaridze to leave prison on December 19

Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, will leave Rustavi Penitentiary No. 12 on December 19 after serving 7 months in prison. Information about the above has been posted on Japaridze’s Facebook page.

Zurab Girchi Japaridze was arrested in the courtroom on May 22. He was summoned to give an explanation to the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia, where he did not appear. In this regard, Japaridze was charged under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, which refers to “failure to comply with the request of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia.”
