Late last night, strong winds damaged several municipalities in the Kakheti region. The wind blew off the roofs of residential buildings in Telavi.

Trees and power poles were also uprooted by the strong winds.

Representatives of the local government are in the disaster zone. They say that a special commission is working and after calculating the damage, it will be decided how to help the affected population.

The region is still experiencing bad weather.
