Mikheil Kavelashvili on Liz Truss' statement - I am sure that those who have a healthy assessment of their country's national interest understand where the threat to countries and national interests comes from

"I am sure that those who have a healthy appreciation of their country's national interest understand where the threat to countries' national interests comes from," Mikheil Kavelashvili said when answering a question about the statement of former British Prime Minister Liz Truss, where she spoke about the problems with freedom of speech in Britain.

According to Kavelashvili, the former British Prime Minister is probably thinking about her own country and that is why she is making such a statement.

"It seems that the former Prime Minister often listened to us from the Georgian government, [this is jokingly, of course], however, those who have a healthy assessment of the national interest of their country, I am sure, those people understand where the threat to countries, national interests comes from. There is nothing new for us in this. What was new and amazing was that these representative, exemplary countries for everyone, like Britain, came this far. This is so necessary for the country that even the former Prime Minister, who has the greatest information, probably thinks about her own country and that is why she makes such a statement," Kavelashvili said.
