Mikheil Kavelashvili condemned the shooting that took place at Bondi Beach in Sydney, which, according to the latest information, claimed the lives of 15 people.

He described the shooting that occurred during the Hanukkah celebration as a terrorist attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

“Georgia strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in Sydney, at Bondi Beach, during the celebration of Hanukkah. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the full and speedy recovery of the injured,” Kavelashvili stated.

For information, the death toll from the shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney has risen to 15, including a 10-year-old girl.

The attack occurred during an event dedicated to the Hanukkah holiday. According to police, the incident is being treated as a terrorist act.

Police said that the armed individuals who attacked the gathering were a father and son. A 50-year-old man was killed at the scene by police, while a 24-year-old man remains in critical condition in hospital.
