Kakha Kaladze: A lot of lies and filth are being spread, claiming that we are deceiving the public and that the tram project will not be implemented - a tender has been announced, and by the end of January we will have a winning company

A lot of falsehoods and misinformation are being spread, suggesting that we are misleading the public and that the tram project will not be implemented. This is false information — it should not be the first or the last tram project in the capital, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said at a government meeting.

According to him, the winning company will be identified by the end of January.

“A tender has been announced. Very soon, by the end of January, we will have a winning company for the tram project, which will begin implementation. A lot of lies and filth are being spread, claiming that we are deceiving the public and that the tram project will not be implemented. This is false information. This should not be the first and last tram project in the capital,” Kaladze stated.

For reference, the tram line will connect the Didi Dighomi residential area with the Didube metro station.
