We support the Georgian people, but not the Georgian government, - said Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in response to a question from Euroscope ahead of the European Council summit in Brussels.

"The Georgian government is taking the country in the wrong direction. This path is not towards the European Union. Therefore, our strong message to the Georgian people is that we stand with them, but as long as the government takes the wrong steps, we are not going to move forward in the candidate country status process," - Kallas said.
