Patriarch - As you know, ambassadors in general have a great mission and responsibility, but in relation to our ambassadors, this workload has increased even more today and requires more work and effort from them

As you know, ambassadors in general have a great mission and responsibility, but in relation to our ambassadors, this workload has increased even more today and requires more work and effort from them - I am sure that each of you is well aware of this and serves our country with loyalty and dedication, - Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, addressed the participants of the Ambassadors’ Conference 2025.

In his address, the Patriarch thanks representatives of the diplomatic corps for their work.

“Mr. President, Mr. Prime Minister, Mr. Speaker of Parliament, Ms. Minister and other participants of today's gathering, I cordially welcome you all, congratulate you on today's day.

You know, in general, what a great mission and responsibility ambassadors have, but in relation to our ambassadors, this workload has increased even more today and requires more work and effort from them.

I am sure that each of you is well aware of this and serves our country with loyalty and dedication. Therefore, I would like to thank you and your employees for your hard work and I express my hope that your work will continue to be successful and bring positive results for Georgia.

In addition, I would like to remind you that, as is known, next year we will celebrate the 1700th anniversary of the declaration of Christianity as the state religion. This is a very important date in the life of our country, because it is precisely Christianity that has determined the way of thinking of our nation; our unique art, literature, and philosophy were created on its basis; human relations are also based on it.

I hope that you, together with our clergy abroad and the diaspora, will be able to celebrate this date appropriately.

May God grant that the love of the Lord and Georgia unite us all.

May God bless you and give you the strength and opportunity to accomplish many good deeds for the sake of God, Amen!

With love and respect,

Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia,

Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi

Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia,” reads the Patriarch’s address.
