The former director of the Tbilisi City Hall’s Kindergarten Management Agency, Kakha Gvantseladze, has been indicted in absentia.

As Gvantseladze's lawyer told InterpressNews, he cannot discuss the details of the case, considering the interests of the defendant.

According to him, he has not had any communication with Gvantseladze.

According to available information, the former director of the Kindergarten Agency has not been in Georgia for a long time.

For information, the former head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili, was arrested yesterday. He is accused of taking bribes in several criminal cases.

According to the prosecutor's office, in exchange for taking a bribe, Grigol Liluashvili provided protection to his friend, the former director of the Tbilisi City Hall’s Kindergarten Management Agency, Kakha Gvantseladze, who received particularly large amounts of bribes from business entities for signing procurement contracts for kindergartens.

According to the investigative agency, Kakhaber Gvantseladze involved the agency's financial accounting and calculation, as well as monitoring employees in the aforementioned criminal scheme of Liluashvili-Gvantseladze. A decree has been issued against all of them to bring them to criminal liability as defendants.
