Artificial Island Construction in Batumi Proceeds Successfully - 50% of the Ambassadori Island Project Already Realized

The Ambassadori Island project has officially moved from from the conceptual planning phase to the stage of active operational implementation, achieving major momentum this year. As 2025 comes to a close, more than 50% of the project has already been realized. The numbers speak for themselves: 26 hectares of land are already fully operational, while 48 hectares have been successfully reclaimed from the Black Sea.

“We are witnessing historic moments in the development of Ambassadori Island. We have officially commissioned 26 hectares of new territory, where work has already begun on our first multifunctional complex. This is designed to be a premier destination, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, boutique shopping, and even a helipad, bringing a new standard of modern living and leisure to the region,” says the CEO of Ambassadori Island Batumi.

Currently, the company has shaped 48 hectares of land within the sea, all of which is expected to be fully operational by January. In addition, the construction of a new shopping mall on-site is scheduled to start next year.

Beyond the architecture, the project is a major win for the national economy. Once complete, Ambassadori Island Batumi is projected to contribute $65 million annually in taxes to the country budget. According to public data, this puts the project’s economic impact on par with the global Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, solidifying the island's role as a cornerstone of Georgia’s future growth.
