So-called court of occupied Tskhinvali sends Tamar Mearakishvili to two months of pretrial detention

The so-called city court of occupied Tskhinvali ordered two months of pretrial detention for Tamar Mearakishvili, - Ekho Kavkaza reports.

For information, according to the so-called prosecutor general's office of occupied Tskhinvali, Georgian citizen Tamar Mearakishvili was arrested on charges of espionage.

Yesterday, the State Security Service released a statement, which states that "the fact of the illegal detention of Tamar Mearakishvili, a Georgian citizen permanently residing in the occupied territory, was confirmed via a hotline from Tskhinvali." Also, according to the Service, “intensive communication is underway regarding the aforementioned issue.”

According to Ekho Kavkaza, Tamar Mearakishvili denies the allegations and continues her hunger strike.
