Kakha Kaladze on European Commission's assessment of US sanctions - They do not like it when it affects them - when they themselves impose and make demands on other countries, how is it?! It is again the double standard

They do not like it when it affects them - when they themselves impose and make demands on other countries, how is it?! It turns out that we still have the double standard, - said the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, responding to the European Commission's statement on the sanctions imposed on 5 Europeans by the US State Department.

According to him, against the backdrop of the processes taking place in the world today, society sees everything clearly and it is easy to distinguish between an enemy and a friend.

“We remember the statements made regarding Georgia and the sanctions imposed by several European countries on Georgia and specific politicians. It means that we still have the double standard – what, I say in a general context, is acceptable to them, is unacceptable to us. People see everything clearly, what processes are underway, who has what interests, who is our enemy, who is a well-wisher. It is very easy to distinguish today, especially considering the processes that are taking place in the world in general,” said Kakha Kaladze.

For information, the United States of America has imposed visa restrictions on 5 European individuals. The sanctions include former European Commissioner for Internal Market, Thierry Breton, and four heads of organizations fighting disinformation. The European Commission “strongly condemned” this US decision and demanded an explanation from the US government.
