Ana Nadareishvili, who was arrested together with his husband, former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia, has been released.
According to Lasha Maghradze, First Deputy Head of the State Security Service, a decision has been made to release Ana Nadareishvili. As Lasha Maghradze explained, in the future, based on existing or other new evidence, they will investigate whether Ana Nadareishvili participated in any way in the crime committed together with her husband.
"A decision has been made to release her from detention and the investigation will consider in the future, based on existing or other new evidence, whether she also participated in any way in the crime committed together with her husband. The aforementioned decision regarding Anna Nadareishvili was made despite the fact that Bachana Akhalaia refused to give any testimony at all, including the opportunity to answer the question - whether only he was in contact with other organizers of the crime, or whether his wife Anna Nadareishvili was also involved in this, thus he himself did not rule out his wife’s complicity in the crime," Lasha Maghradze stated.
The State Security Service has detained former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia. According to the State Security Service, Bacho Akhalaia was the main organizer of the October 4 events in Georgia. The State Security Service explained that he directed the events through an Internet application and communicated with the already arrested organizers. According to the Service, from 9:00 PM on September 28 until their detention, numerous telephone Internet communications took place via Internet applications - a total of 343 Internet sessions were recorded, including 157 with Murtaz Zodelava, 110 with Paata Burchuladze, 29 with Paata Manjgaladze, 26 with Lasha Beridze, and 21 with Irakli Nadiradze. According to the Service, the last connection on October 4 was made by Murtaz Zodelava to the IP address registered in the name of Anna Nadareishvili "9 minutes before Paata Burchuladze's violent speech", which provides a solid basis for drawing the appropriate conclusion.
