I took the phone immediately to go live, because it was an amazing sight, I don’t know what these people with machine guns were for. They immediately pointed machine guns at me and told me to drop the phone, as it was evidence, it was confiscated and I had no right to use it, Ani Nadareishvili, the wife of former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia, told TV Pirveli when she spoke about the investigative actions conducted at their home.
According to Ani Nadareishvili, before the investigative actions were conducted at her home, they contacted her from the State Security Service and told her that they were summoning her, her husband Bacho Akhalaia, and a family friend Zviad Gagua for questioning as witnesses, to which Nadareishvili said that they would give a testimony in the presence of a magistrate judge.
"It was about 4 o'clock when they called me. The person who had summoned me to the police station and questioned me earlier, a woman, told me that she had additional questions, that she was summoning me as a witness, and that she was also summoning Bacho and Zviad Gagua, a relative of our family who lives with us. I replied that we would go to the magistrate judge, based on the fact that they had staged a masquerade during the previous interrogation regarding the ambulance and the fact that I had fallen ill, when they had been interrogating me all day because of some voice pattern. They themselves know very well what was happening inside, so I answered [about going to the magistrate judge]. She told me that they would contact me. Exactly half an hour later, about 30 law enforcement officers with machine guns and masks arrived. I took the phone immediately to go live, because it was an amazing sight, I don’t know what these people with machine guns were for. They immediately pointed machine guns at me and told me to drop the phone, as it was evidence, it was confiscated and I had no right to use it. The female investigator came up to me and told me that I was also under arrest and they started filling out my report. They took me away, then they took Bacho away and then they took Zviad Gagua. They took him to the State Security Service for interrogation, there they told him to testify against Bacho, to confirm that he had contact, that he was the organizer and they would release Ani, otherwise, “you see, both of them are caught and the children will be left without a mother and father”. Then they let him out, brought him home, a search was underway at the house, and a short time later they took him back, saying the same thing, "Have you thought of anything? Do you have anything to add?" - said Ani Nadareishvili.
