Georgian Railway: Due to severe weather conditions, mainline and suburban trains will not operate on January 3 and 4 – only the Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi train will run

Due to the difficult situation, trains operating on mainline and suburban routes will temporarily suspend services on January 3 and 4.

The information was released by Georgian Railway.

According to the company, only the Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi train will operate during this period.

“Dear passengers, we inform you that due to difficult meteorological conditions, especially the severe weather in western Georgia, various obstacles periodically arise along the railway routes during train operations.

Considering the current severe situation, trains operating on mainline and suburban routes will temporarily not run on January 3 and 4. Only the Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi train will operate. Georgian Railway apologizes for the inconvenience caused. Ticket fares will be fully refunded to passengers,” the statement reads.
