“The jury found it proven that on April 20, 2025, in one of the villages of the Kazbegi Municipality, following a dispute and motivated by revenge, the defendants, acting as a group, inflicted multiple wounds and injuries to various parts of the victim’s body using a knife and a blunt object. As a result of the injuries sustained, the victim died in hospital.
The jury fully accepted the evidence presented by the prosecution during the court proceedings and found the defendants guilty under Article 109, subparagraph ‘i’, of the Criminal Code of Georgia (premeditated murder committed by a group).
Based on the jury’s verdict, the court sentenced both defendants to 17 years of imprisonment each,” the statement reads.
