Levan Machavariani, First Deputy Chairman of the “Georgian Dream” faction, stated that any hysteria from radicals - whether about the “Transparency Law,” unprecedented investments, education reform, or lowering food prices - serves as an indicator to citizens that the government is on the right path and that things are going well. He made these remarks in relation to the Eagle Hills investment.
Machavariani emphasized that “myths about ‘Arabization’ are exaggerated,” noting that the average market price of an apartment is $2,000 per square meter, making them affordable for Georgians. He added that Georgian developers are also selling apartments at comparable prices.
“Any hysteria from radicals - whether about the ‘Transparency Law,’ unprecedented investments, education reform, or lowering food prices - on any issue that is successful for our country and serves the interests of our people, is just radical opposition hysteria. This, of course, indicates to our citizens that we are on the right track and everything is going well. Specifically regarding Eagle Hills, we have repeatedly pointed out that besides being an unprecedented investment, it will serve as a signal and indicator to other large groups that Georgia has an ideal investment environment, encouraging other major companies to follow Eagle Hills.
As for the myths about ‘Arabization,’ that apartment prices would be so high that only Arabs could afford them, this is entirely exaggerated. The normal average market price is $2,000 per square meter, as announced by Eagle Hills, and sales have already begun. Of course, this is also affordable for Georgian buyers, as apartments are sold at comparable prices by Georgian developers,” Machavariani said.
