The Kvemo Kartli Police have detained two individuals on the spot and identified three others in connection with a violent incident that occurred in Gardabani.
The information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Employees of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained E.M. (born in 2000) and M.M. (born in 1995) on charges of attempted intentional murder, violent violation of the inviolability of another person’s property, and group violence against two or more persons. In addition, S.A. (born in 1999), A.M. (born in 1971), and E.M. (born in 1996) have been identified.
The investigation established that a verbal altercation between six residents of Gardabani Municipality escalated into a physical confrontation, during which one of the participants inflicted stab wounds on two individuals using a cold weapon. It was also determined that after the confrontation, one of the participants deliberately rammed his vehicle into two people involved in the fight, as a result of which F.A. died at the scene. Emergency medical personnel transported four injured individuals to the hospital.
As a result of оперативные (operational) measures and investigative actions, law enforcement officers detained two individuals as suspects on the spot and identified three others.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 19-109, 160, and 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provide for up to 20 years of imprisonment,” the statement says.
