Irakli Nadiradze - It turns out that such a big coup was planned and was led by a world opera singer and a former prosecutor general - their propaganda is failing, it is difficult even for their supporters to believe that the regime would fall without money and weapons

It turns out that such a major coup was planned and was led by the world opera singer and the former prosecutor general, - said one of the leaders of the United National Movement, Irakli Nadiradze, who is being detained in connection with the events of October 4.

As Nadiradze noted, the video presented by the Prosecutor's Office against him does not prove any crime.

"Greetings to everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We saw the videos, there were two episodes where I say that the State Security Service is trying to find a plan, but there is no plan. Sometimes they seized a hexogen, sometimes machine guns, and they could not present any evidence. It turns out that a coup was being planned, and the world opera singer and the former prosecutor general were at the head of it. Their propaganda is failing, it is difficult even for their supporters to believe that without money, weapons, explosives, violent people, a dictatorial regime would fall, and now they are introducing things with a stick, that there was something violent here and that is how we tried to come to power. I explained my motive well, I was at all the rallies and will be there, because I do not want our country's decisions to be made in Ashgabat, with Putin. No matter what, I will do everything so that the fate of our country is not decided in Ashgabat. As for that video, when we arrived at the presidential administration, on the 4th, the fence was destroyed... I met these people here and there is not a single piece of evidence that there was a connection with these persons, they were arrested for nothing... There was no violence there, as for an ordinary person, as you say, for an organizer, for me, it was unthinkable that these people would be arrested and I would be left like that. A dictatorship has been established in the country, the country is being led towards Russia and we are in Russia. Now we need unity, no matter how may years they give me - 2 years or 9 years, we will continue to fight for a European future...

I do not feel guilty, these videos do not prove any crime, we must continue the fight, do not be afraid of anything, fight to the end, fire to the oligarchy", - said Nadiradze.
