Police arrest Turkish citizen wanted on an Interpol Red Notice in Batumi

Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, born in 1973 and identified as J.K., in Batumi. The individual was wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice.

The information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Convicted by the Republic of Turkey, the individual has been wanted under a Red Notice since November 2025 on charges related to deprivation of liberty and threats.

Extradition procedures, as provided by law, are currently underway against the detainee,” the statement says.
