Cold weather and occasional precipitation to last in Georgia until January 18

According to the National Environmental Agency, cold weather and occasional precipitation will last in Georgia until January 18.

"On January 15-16, Tbilisi will experience cold and mostly dry weather, while snow is expected on January 17. The air temperature will be -3, -5 degrees at night, +2, +4 degrees during the day.

In coastal regions (Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, Poti): Precipitation is expected. The air temperature will be +1, +3 degrees at night, +5, +7 degrees during the day.

In the lowland regions of Western Georgia (Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, Ozurgeti): Precipitation is expected, mostly in the form of snow. The air temperature will be -1, -3 degrees at night, +4, +6 degrees during the day.

In the mountainous regions of Western Georgia (Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, Rikoti Pass): Snow is expected from time to time. Air temperature at night will be -5, -10, -1, -3 degrees Celsius, during the day -1, -3 degrees Celsius.

In the mountainous regions of Western Georgia (Mestia, Bakhmaro): Snow is expected from time to time. Air temperature at night will be -13, -15, during the day -5, -7 degrees Celsius.

In Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali): Snow is expected in some places. Air temperature at night will be -6, -8, during the day +1, +3 degrees Celsius.

In Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro): Snow is expected in some places. Air temperature at night will be -5, -7, during the day +2, +4 degrees Celsius.

In the mountainous regions of Eastern Georgia (Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, Pasanauri): Snow is expected in some places. The air temperature will be -12, -14 at night, -2, -4 degrees during the day.

In the highland regions of Eastern Georgia (Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri, Omalo): Snow and blizzards are expected in some places. The air temperature will be -18, -20 at night, -6, -8 degrees during the day,” reads the information.
