Shalva Kereselidze: Gakharia is the only one whom neither threats nor attacks could stop - as for the “Dream”’s little boys, I would advise them not to overdo it, otherwise the most eager among them have already been sent to prison by their patron as a New Year’s gift

“Gakharia is the only one among ‘Georgian Dream’ officials who dared to openly confront them, and neither threats nor attacks could stop him. As for the ‘Dream’’s little boys, I would advise them not to overdo it, otherwise the most eager among them have already been sent to prison by their patron as a New Year’s gift,” wrote Shalva Kereselidze, Chair of the parliamentary faction ‘For Georgia’, on social media.

Kereselidze was commenting on an incident that took place last year in Batumi at the Sheraton Hotel, where the former prime minister was physically assaulted.

“One year has passed since we all saw the cowardly group attack on Giorgi Gakharia in Batumi - ten against one - carried out by a gang of ‘Dream’ officials, while the entire law enforcement system was backing them up.

Both these officials and this law enforcement system had received a common order from a single person - and publicly at that! Later, this same law enforcement system was forced to fabricate two criminal cases against Giorgi Gakharia.

I have personally known Giorgi for many years, and backing down because of threats has never been part of his character. Anyone who thought otherwise simply does not know him at all.

Gakharia is the only one among ‘Georgian Dream’ officials who dared to openly confront them. Neither threats nor attacks stopped him.

I would advise the ‘Dream’’s little boys not to overdo it, otherwise the most eager among them have already been sent to prison by their patron as a New Year’s gift,” Kereselidze stated.
