Georgia wins gold medal in pairs at European Figure Skating Championships

For the first time in history, Georgia has won a gold medal in pairs at the European Figure Skating Championships. The European Figure Skating Championships are taking place in Great Britain. According to the Georgian Ministry of Sports, the pair representing Georgia in sports dancing - Luka Berulava and Anastasia Metelkina - have become European champions.

“The pair scored 75.96 points in the short program and won a minor gold medal, and 139.80 points in the free program and took first place; they celebrated the European Championship with a total of 215.76 points in the two programs.

Nika Egadze also competed in the short program on the second competition day of the tournament, winning a minor gold medal in the short program.

The pair of Luka Berulava and Anastasia Metelkina have won all three medals at the European Championships. They won silver in 2024, and became bronze medalists in 2025,” reads the information.
