Police detain four individuals over physical confrontation in Vake

Police have detained four individuals in connection with a physical confrontation that occurred in the Vake district of Tbilisi.

According to information released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspects physically assaulted a 29-year-old man and then fled the scene.

“Employees of the Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested four individuals on charges of violence: T.T. (born in 1998), G.T. (born in 2000), V.S. (born in 2005), and M.Kh. (born in 1997).

The investigation established that on January 16 of this year, on Arakishvili Street in Tbilisi, following a verbal dispute, the suspects physically assaulted M.Kh. (born in 1997) and then fled the scene.

As a result of investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the suspects were arrested in hot pursuit.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for a sentence of up to one year of imprisonment,” the statement reads.
