The officers of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested T.M., born in 1974, on charges of attempted premeditated murder.

According to the MIA, the investigation revealed that during an argument in Shuakhevi municipality, the accused injured his friend Z.D., born in 1972, with an axe and fled the scene.

“The injured man was taken to a medical facility.

The police arrested T.M. as a suspect based on a judge’s ruling.

Law enforcement officers seized the weapon used to commit the crime as evidence.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 19-109 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment,” reads the information.
