State Security Service - We have already applied to the Prosecutor's Office regarding the statement of Vepkhia Kasradze, in order to interrogate the author of the statement as soon as possible and establish what we are really dealing with

The State Security Service has issued a statement regarding the statement of Vepkhia Kasradze, who was detained during the protests, according to which a State Security Service employee "intended to kidnap" his daughter last year.

The State Security Service states that they have already applied to the Prosecutor's Office regarding Vepkhia Kasradze's statement in order to "interrogate the author of the statement as soon as possible and establish what we are really dealing with."

As the State Security Service notes, the statement made by Vepkhia Kasradze requires detailed study, more concreteness, and a complete investigation.

"The State Security Service has already applied to the Prosecutor's Office regarding Vepkhia Kasradze's statement in order to interrogate the author of the statement as soon as possible and establish what we are really dealing with - on the one hand, even theoretically assuming the accuracy of the facts presented in the statement, it requires a detailed investigation, and on the other hand, no one can so rashly accuse their own country's special services of a brutal crime. In both cases, the statement made requires detailed study, more concreteness, and a complete investigation," reads the statement.

Vepkhia Kasradze, who was detained at the protest, stated that a State Security Service employee "intended to kidnap" his daughter last year.

"Last year, an employee of the State Security Service was planning to kidnap my daughter and they were calling an 11-year-old girl for three whole months, and I didn't expose that employee of the State Security Service. I should admit that, right? They are villains, they should be ashamed. I thought that Liluashvili's State Security Service was doing this, but they are still calling now," - said Vepkhia Kasradze in a telephone conversation with "TV Pirveli".
