“We are witnessing the process of forming a new peace format. Georgia is not invited to this process, while neighboring countries are. All the delusions about peace have collapsed for Georgian Dream like a house of cards, just like the rest of its propaganda,” said Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of Lelo - Strong Georgia, commenting on the fact that Georgia has not, at this stage, been invited by the U.S. President to the Gaza “Peace Council,” while many countries around the world, including Georgia’s neighbors, have received invitations.

According to him, “this is the complete fiasco of Georgian Dream’s so-called peace propaganda.”

“Ultimately, once again - but even more clearly - it has been exposed that the political course of the Georgian Dream regime has nothing to do with peace. We see the process of forming a new peace format, and Georgia is not invited to it, while neighboring countries are invited. All the delusions about peace have collapsed for Georgian Dream like a house of cards, just like its other propaganda,” Gegelia said.

He also spoke about the domestic political situation, noting that new parliamentary elections are the only way out of the current political crisis.

“This applies not only to the political crisis we are facing here, but in general, worldwide, the only solution to such political crises is new parliamentary elections. Therefore, our demand remains the scheduling of new elections, facilitating the reset of the political system, and the release of all political prisoners. This is the absolute minimum without which we cannot achieve a stable political situation in the country, nor restore the fully halted course of European integration,” Gegelia said.
