Bringing debates into a toxic field will yield no results - healthy debates are needed, and there must be a fair environment for everyone, - this is what Parliament's First Vice-Speaker Gia Volski told journalists.
According to him, there is the Public Broadcaster and other media outlets "where, in any case, good conditions will be in place for debates."
"They need to show willingness on this matter. Personally, I don't mean that it's possible to enter this toxic space and talk about any debates. I call it a toxic space - that part of propaganda which has created a certain 'bubble' around itself in order to take the lead in political processes, together with non-governmental organizations and specific radical parties. Bringing debates onto this field will bring no results whatsoever. Of course, there must be a fair environment for everyone. The next generation is coming. If the radicals of this generation don't have such a desire, people may appear on the political field who hold views opposite to those of the majority. Healthy debates are needed. Expressing readiness for healthy debates requires quite serious arguments. First of all, if we judge by the results, by where they were pointing us and still are trying to drag Georgia - the direction they indicate for the country to move in - it's the path of fire, destruction, and ruin, and in any debates on this, they are already defeated in advance. Socio-economic issues remain problematic, but the trends are positive, so their arguments for discussion are quite limited. Of course, many won't support this, but let's see, let's try. There is the Public Broadcaster, other media outlets, where in any case there will be good conditions for debates," Volski stated.
