Police in Adjara detain Turkish citizen wanted on red circular

Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have detained E.O., a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, born in 2001, wanted by Interpol under a red circular, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the agency, the detained man was wanted by the Republic of Turkey on charges of illegal purchase and storage of ammunition, intentional harm to health, and damage to property.

Law enforcement officers detained E.O. in Batumi as a result of investigative actions. Extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainee.
