"I am sorry for the fact that I was released and so many people remain in prisons. I would be really happy if I were the last to be released, after them," opposition politician Givi Targamadze told reporters after leaving the penitentiary.
Targamadze wished good health to those in prison.
"I'm glad to see you. I'm telling you the truth, I was waiting for the new year with deep breaths for your season to resume – thinking whether you would make it or not.. Thank you for making it. Now, let me breathe... It was such a critical moment. Since you've endured now, you will endure.
First of all, of course, I am sorry for the fact that I was released and so many people remain in prisons. I would be really happy if I were the last to be released, after them. Unfortunately, we can't stop this. I wish those people health, I want to wish them courage and endurance. They have proven how much courage they have for a long time. Therefore, I wish them health and in the end everything will be fine. I want to express my gratitude to those people who have been cheering us on these months and especially my family. Yes, my wife and children are really fighting girls, but it would have been much harder for them without you, and for that I am very grateful, I love you all," Givi Targamadze said.
