The State Security Service made its first comment on the death of an employee of the agency's anti-corruption department.
As the State Security Service told InterpressNews, the deceased suffered a gunshot wound.
When asked whether it was a suicide, the agency noted: "According to the initial version, what is clearly evident is suicide."
"This person was a very worthy and distinguished employee of the Anti-Corruption Agency, who was very loved by everyone. According to initial information, what we can tell you is that a few months ago, he underwent bariatric surgery abroad, lost tens of kilograms, and because of this, he had health problems.
From what we know from the employees, he came to work early, apparently took a weapon, left the work area and was found dead in his car with a gunshot wound. He left a letter on the side seat of the car. This is the initial data that is known to us," the State Security Service said.
