Kakha Kaladze - If anyone has committed a crime, everyone will have to be held accountable before the law, I am responsible for myself

If anyone has committed a crime, everyone will have to be held accountable before the law, - Kakha Kaladze told the media while commenting on the ongoing investigation process regarding the Tbilisi Kindergarten Agency.

When asked whether he himself is responsible for what happened, Kakha Kaladze said that the mayor of the capital cannot be an employee of the investigative agency.

"These are ordinary political speculations. I am responsible for myself. The mayor of the capital cannot be the head or employee of the investigative agency. There are relevant investigative services that must reveal the crime and carry out preventive measures. If someone has committed a crime, everyone will have to be held accountable before the law," Kakha Kaladze noted.

We would like to remind you that, according to the prosecutor's office, in exchange for accepting a bribe, the former head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili, provided protection to his friend, the former director of the Tbilisi City Hall Kindergarten Management Agency, Kakha Gvantseladze, who received particularly large amounts of bribes from business entities for the conclusion of procurement contracts for kindergartens.

According to the investigative body, Kakhaber Gvantseladze involved the agency's financial accounting and calculation, as well as monitoring employees in the aforementioned criminal scheme of Liluashvili-Gvantseladze. A decree has been issued against all of them to bring them to criminal liability as defendants.
