Xavier Bettel - I told my Georgian counterpart that it is difficult to accept the way they behave with the demonstrations and demonstrators

Georgians know exactly what to do. There are rules, there are criteria - the Copenhagen criteria - and they must be fulfilled, - Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel told Euroscope.

According to him, Georgia will not be treated specially, just as other countries will not be treated specially.

“I had a discussion with my Georgian counterpart, the fact is that we need to talk to them. If we do not talk to them, it is difficult to convince them on issues that we do not like. I met the Georgian minister when I was in Vienna and I told her that it is difficult to accept the way they behave with the demonstrations and demonstrators. But I am sure that the Commission will do its homework properly and we will be informed, although they will not be special rules for Georgia - that can be said for sure,” the Luxembourg Foreign Minister noted.
