Briefing scheduled at the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance regarding the detention of former Deputy Health Minister Ilia Ghudushauri

A briefing has been scheduled at the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance. The statement will be made at 14:00.

The briefing is expected to concern the detention of former Deputy Minister of Health, Ilia Ghudushauri.

According to information provided to InterpressNews by lawyer Dimitri Mchedlishvili, Ilia Ghudushauri has been transferred to the Dighomi detention facility.

“I can’t say anything yet. I have just become involved in the case. As far as I know, no charges have been formally brought yet. The case materials have not been handed over to us, and I am not familiar with them. I plan to visit him today and see him; this may coincide with the formal presentation of charges as well. As I understand it, he was detained last night,” the lawyer said.
