Mikheil Kavelaashvili pardons 59 people

On the occasion of St. Nino’s Day, Mikheil Kavelaashvili pardoned 59 individuals.

According to the press service, the act of pardon applied to 57 convicts, while 2 people had their criminal records expunged.

"The use of the exclusive powers granted to him by the Constitution by the President of Georgia is based on the principle of humanism, as well as the interests of the state," the statement said.
