Several students of Tbilisi State University met with Rector Jaba Samushia.

The students had been holding a demonstration in front of the main TSU building since 11 a.m., demanding to attend the academic council meeting where the merger of the Technical University and Tbilisi State University was being discussed. However, they were not allowed into the council meeting. After the academic council session ended, a few students were admitted to meet with Rector Jaba Samushia at their request.

Students and lecturers who oppose the merger of the Technical University and Tbilisi State University continue to remain in the TSU campus yard.
